Adam Norgaard lives and works in Tokyo, Japan. He studied painting and printmaking at the Academy of Art University’s School of Fine Art in San Francisco.
He is interested in conveying a surreal world dictated by uncanny scenes. Living abroad provides him with plenty of inspiration and new sensations. He tries to harness the sensation of a culture shock into his paintings and transport the viewers into his world. Essentially, his paintings are like an expression of his life and the influences that he’s had.
His work has been exhibited in Portland, Oregon and is currently being showed at the Nagaya Project in Tokushima City, Japan.
