In Liu Peng’s own words, “My work is about representation of memory. The result is a series of part realist, part magical scenes that invite viewers to step into the layered worlds of his memories.

Liu’s exceptional technique and mastery of oil painting allow him to depict his subjects with incredible detail and depth, enhancing the realism of his work while seamlessly incorporating surreal elements. His skillful use of light, color, and texture creates a tranquil atmosphere that often evokes a sense of calm and introspection in viewers. The delicate balance between the familiar and the extraordinary in his paintings produces a soothing effect, inviting audiences to immerse themselves in the dreamlike quality of his art.

Through his unique approach, Liu Peng reveals a deep engagement with the passage of time and the emotional landscapes of the past, while his work reflects his perspective on how memories shape our understanding of both personal and shared experiences.
