Who we are
Asian Art Platform is a contemporary art gallery based in Singapore, at 120 Lower Delta Road, 08-01/02 Cendex Centre, Singapore 169208. This policy covers this website and the enquiries, valuation requests, and payments made through it.
We handle personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us. There is no account to create and no login on this site.
- Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in the message, along with the type of enquiry and the work or service you mention.
- Valuation requests: your contact details and any photographs of artworks you upload, together with the descriptions you provide.
- Card payments: your name, email address, phone number, the work being purchased, and the amount. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us.
- Technical information: our host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, as part of running the site securely.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, prepare a valuation, process a payment, and keep a record of what was agreed. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
We will only send you marketing if you have asked us to, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is being used, such as which pages people look at, how long they stay, and roughly where they arrived from. It sets cookies and collects information about your device and browsing. We use it to improve the site, not to work out who you are, and we do not use it for advertising.
You can opt out by blocking cookies in your browser, or by installing Google's own opt-out browser add-on.
Where a page embeds a video, it uses YouTube's no-cookie player, so YouTube does not set tracking cookies unless you press play. Our payment page loads Stripe, which sets cookies necessary for processing the payment and preventing fraud.
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of established providers to run the site. They process data on our instructions and for no other purpose.
- Google, for Google Analytics.
- Vercel, for website hosting.
- Supabase, for our database and for storing images, including valuation photographs.
- Brevo, for sending enquiry notifications and confirmation emails.
- Stripe, for card payments.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and valuation requests are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them, so we can pick up a conversation later or refer back to a valuation we prepared. Records connected to a sale are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
If you would rather we deleted something sooner, ask us and we will unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, and withdraw consent to us using it. Write to us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide a service you have asked for, and we will tell you if that is the case.
Keeping it secure
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to enquiries, valuation images, and payment records is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the date at the top.
