Commission a painting
Sometimes you are looking for a very specific artwork for your home or office and cannot quite find something that fits. Commissioning lets you set the brief and have a piece produced to match it. We work with individuals, interior designers, and organisations, and all of our artists are professionally trained full time painters.

A piece made to your brief
When you cannot find something that fits your requirements, commissioning is often the perfect solution. It lets you set out exactly what you want and have a work produced that matches your brief, whether from your own imagination or from photographs and imagery you share.
Trained, full time artists
We have experience working with individuals, interior designers, and organisations on a wide range of commissioned projects. All of our painters are professionally trained full time artists.
Recent work
Three commissions, three starting points
A brief does not have to arrive in any particular form. These three began as a set of references, as a conversation, and as an image made with AI.

A feng shui landscape
The client had planned to print an image onto canvas but could not find one carrying the elements they needed. We worked up a design to their brief, painted it in oil, applied gold leaf where they asked for it, and finished the canvas in a float frame.

Astro Boy in pop art
A colourful pop art piece in oil on canvas, worked up from the client's spoken description rather than from any image. Where you can describe what you want clearly enough, our painters can take it from there.

An AI image made real
This client had generated a digital image using AI and wanted it as an original painting. We produced it as an oil on canvas and delivered it stretched and ready to hang.

Questions
Frequently asked
Can I give feedback while the work is under way?
Yes, this is a critical part of the process. We share the painting with you as it progresses, and the artist can make adjustments based on your feedback.
How does payment work?
Once we have clarity on your requirements we provide a quote for your approval. To proceed, 50 percent of the invoice is requested upfront, with the remaining 50 percent paid on your acceptance of the finished work.
I have seen a painting I like. Can you produce something similar?
In most cases, yes. Our painters can work from pre-existing images, and it is common for a commission to begin with inspiration a client has taken from something seen elsewhere. We stay clear of exact replication on moral grounds, but using existing works and images to define your brief is not a problem.
How long does a painting take to complete?
It depends on your requirements. Factors such as subject matter, medium, and size all affect the time involved. Once we review your brief we can provide a solid estimate on timing.
