Art services

Singapore’s leading art valuation and appraisal service

Companies, government agencies, and private collectors come to us to put a defensible number on their art. We appraise everything from a single work through to corporate collections of several hundred pieces across multiple sites, and insurers routinely accept our valuations as part of a claim.

01

Corporate and institutional

We value collections held by companies, government bodies, hotels, and developments, whether for insurance, asset records, mark to market reporting, or a claim. We visit your sites, work to your procurement process, and deliver a single consolidated report covering everything on the schedule.

02

Private collectors

We value individual works and family collections, most often for insurance, an estate, a sale, or a dispute over damage. You get an independent written valuation prepared to a standard insurers and lawyers accept.

Questions

Frequently asked

Will your valuation be accepted for an insurance claim?

Generally, yes. We have found that insurers usually accept our independent valuation as part of a claim, for example where a work has been damaged in transit or by a contractor. It helps to tell us the purpose of your valuation upfront so we can guide you.

Do you provide a certificate of authenticity?

Typically no. Authenticity should be sought from the artist, or the gallery or collector who originally sold the work. What we provide is an artwork valuation certificate, valid for insurance, shipping, mark to market, and similar purposes. For corporate clients we usually work from a spreadsheet so the company keeps a digital asset record, which we then sign for official use.

Can you value my work for free?

Unfortunately not. Appraising artwork takes time and expertise, and can involve hours of research along with paid access to valuation databases. We charge a small fee for this work and would kindly ask that you respect our time and expertise.

Can you value a large collection?

Yes. We provide valuation for corporations, government agencies, and private collectors, including collections of more than 500 works. Please contact us for a quote on bulk assessment.

What if my work is purely decorative?

That is often the case, and many works do not hold substantial value. Even so, we can assess and provide a valuation, which can be useful for insurance or compensation purposes. Please note we are unable to provide a free assessment.

How long does a valuation take?

For a single work it usually takes one to two business days to review and respond. If we need more information we will be in touch within a similar time.
