Marc Sijan is an American artist who specialises in the production of hyper realistic sculptures. This particular work is of a standing security guard with visible signs of brown mould spots evident right across the sculptures white shirt. Due to the way in which the sculptures are put together its not suitable to fully remove the shirt and wash it in a traditional manner. The restoration and cleaning needs to be done without removal.
As you can see in the before and after shots below the mould has been fully removed and the outlook of the sculpture is vastly improved. It is important for sculptures such as this to ensure regular maintenance to lessen the chance of more significant restoration being required. This is particular true in a humid climate such as Singapore.
