Asian Art Platform is proud to present Fruitful, an interactive art installation by emerging sculptor Li Shudan at Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong 2025.
The installation features a visually striking pile of over 280 meticulously hand-carved wooden fruits, including pears, apples, lychees, and both green and red pumpkins. At first glance, the fruits appear fresh and inviting — stacked in a seemingly chaotic yet organic formation.
Upon closer inspection, visitors discover that each piece is in fact a handcrafted wooden sculpture, highlighting the tension between appearance and reality.
Visitors are invited to engage with the installation by adopting a fruit — they are available for purchase at the special price of HKD 1,000 for any two fruits.
