A well known sculpture located within the Amoy Boutique hotel tells the story of Singapores trading past. The sculpture is designed to depict the people of Zhengzhou who came to Singapore by sea from China. The sculpture is exposed to the elements all year round and was in need of some attention to fix various cracks and significant holes as well as provide it with a general repainting using a heavy duty, specially formulated outdoor paint.
