Wang Yunchong 王云冲

Artist

Wang Yunchong’s 王云冲 work follows a simple classification method, he categorizes his paintings to “Still Life”, “Animal”, “Portrait” and “Plant” etc. He consciously uses plain and direct titles for his works. This is an artistic decision to focus his energy on the creation of his work.

On these seemingly simple topics, he emphasizes on the colors rather than the planar structure of the objects. He prefers to use an old greenish-gray tone – the color of the moss, a subtle, quiet  and accumulating colors that grows with time.
