Wang Yunchong

Wang Yunchong's 王云冲 work follows a simple classification method, he categorises his paintings to “Still Life”, “Animal”, “Portrait” and “Plant” etc. He consciously uses plain and direct titles for his works. This is an artistic decision to focus his energy on the creation of his work.

On these seemingly simple topics, he emphasises on the colours rather than the planar structure of the objects. He prefers to use an old greenish-gray tone - the colour of the moss, a subtle, quiet  and accumulating colours that grows with time.
