This particular restoration job was for an oil on canvas painting that was suffering from 2 main issues. Firstly, as you can see in the top left of the main image there is some colour loss and scratching which is not part of the original painting. Secondly, there is a significant amount of mould across the entire surface of the painting which becomes more evident in the close-ups provided below.
After restoration the paint loss and scratches are completely gone as is the mould.
The darkened specks you will see throughout the close-up images are mould.
