This oil on canvas work had suffered paint loss in the bottom left corner and top right. The original canvas float frame was also damaged in various places and thus required professional restoration and reframing.
As you can see in the before and after images below we have restored the painting and reframed in a new silver float frame.
Before
You can see towards the bottom left corner in the green fields a white area. This is paint loss. There is also a small loss of paint in the top right and the overall condition of the gold canvas float frame is very poor.
Below is a close-up of the damaged paint area in the bottom left.
Some additional paint loss spots along with the poor condition of the frame showing the corners parting ways and various dents.
After
The paint loss has been restored and a brand new silver float frame added to the painting.
This close-up shows how the effected area has been restored.
The small paint loss in the top right has been removed and the new frame is much improved.
